Greetings and welcome to the North Texas Business and Professional Women’s League, Inc. Our League was founded in 2003 by 4 amazing women who felt the need to further the goals and aspirations of our national organization: The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. The National Theme is “Moving Forward with a Purpose: Empowering Communities and Shaping Lives While Strengthening B & P (Business and Professional Women). Our Local Theme is “A Legacy of Service, Embodying Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Technology in our Community”.
As President of the North Texas League, I can honestly say that I am proud to be a part of such a dynamic group of women and youth who have embodied what the National Organization has stood for. This group of Business and Professionals has worked diligently to provide the community with programs such as: Domestic Violence on Lock Down, Safe Encounters Program, North Texas Food Bank Volunteer Efforts, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk, HIV/AIDS Walk, Home Ownership Workshop for the Community, Real Estate Investment Workshop, Leadership Training, and several other programs that are both nationally and locally driven. We have just recently had our first Annual Scholar’s Fundraiser Luncheon and it was a huge success. We strive to make a difference in the Community and in the lives of those who have might otherwise have been forgotten. We hope that you will join us as we Move Forward With A Purpose.
The 2017-18 year has been a success and we are looking forward to an even greater and more productive 2018-19 year.
Dr. Jeanine Thomas, President
