Greetings and welcome to the North Texas Business and Professional Women’s League, Inc. Our League was founded in 2003 by 4 amazing women who felt the need to further the goals and aspirations of our national organization: The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. The National Theme is “Moving Forward with a Purpose: Empowering Communities and Shaping Lives While Strengthening B & P (Business and Professional Women). Our Local Theme is “A Legacy of Service, Embodying Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Technology in our Community”.
As President of the North Texas League, I can honestly say that I am proud to be a part of such a dynamic group of women and youth who have embodied what the National Organization has stood for. This group of Business and Professionals has worked diligently to provide the community with programs such as: Domestic Violence on Lock Down, Safe Encounters Program, North Texas Food Bank Volunteer Efforts, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk, HIV/AIDS Walk, Home Ownership Workshop for the Community, Real Estate Investment Workshop, Leadership Training, and several other programs that are both nationally and locally driven. We strive to make a difference in the Community and in the lives of those who have might otherwise have been forgotten.
As we move forward with a purpose, we will host our First Annual Black and White Scholar’s Fundraising Luncheon on April 21, 2018 at the Forest Hill Civic and Convention Center from 11-1:30. Tickets are $75 which includes the luncheon and silent auction. The proceeds will benefit the youth scholarship fund, with a goal of $10,000. We are looking forward to an exciting close to a very productive year.
